Francis Charles Nanawa
Francis Charles NANAWA spent his younger years in Lucban, Quezon where he grew up experiencing the annual Pahiyas Festival – the Philippines’ most colorful harvest festival. The kaleidoscope of colors displayed during the festival becomes the basis of his art in which a medley of vibrant colors are turned into striking patterns, lines and shapes. Working in acrylic, Nanawa paints with brushes and palettes and knives to create a distinct three-dimensional effect.
